Part 1
The Story of how EX-Star RB became role playing backs.
Breaking News Peyton Manning Will have Another Neck Surgery and May miss The REST of the season. And EX Bruin McCrimmoin Dies in Plane Crash.
Reggie Bush Reggie Bush was a extremely gifted althlete who won a Heismen and joined the saints a a Number 1 RB but now he`s been replaced by a rookie. Bush had knee problems which required mirco fracture Knee surgery in 2009 but remained a star. With fragile knees he was backed up by Pierre Thomas. In 2010 when the Saints won the Superbowl he was there star RB and a key cog. The saints Drafted Mark Ingram to either Replace Bush or Pierre Thomas but sadley it was Bush who was replaced. Now two years later he was sent away to miami where he had to earn his job again. Though his 88 yard preseason opener should he is still a good RB and will play for a few more years but he also had the scandel from his college days. Bush enrolled in the University of Southern Californa but only because they gave his mother a House. His Hieseman was taken and his legacy Tarnished.
Marion Barber Barber is a Interesting player who has kind of split the RB job with a variety of different players including Matt Forte and Felix Jones. Barber is too young to be washed up but never really was great ether. He has never passed 1000 yards and never had less than 500 outside last year. He is still capable of 600 yards but no longer a possibility to get 1000 Yards. He started his career with Dallas in 2005 and was immediately labled a star after getting 530 yards and then scoring 14 TD`s in just his second year. But his career took a wrong turn and platued in 2007 when he got a ceareer high 975 yards but that was not enough he got pushed out from behind by Felix jones and only got 330 yards in 2011. He was a free agent and took more money to leave for Chicago were he would back up Matt Forte. The fact he may never reach Hawii is shocking.
Fred Taylor Taylor was labled a star from day one when he tallied a remarkable 732 yards over 10 games his tenure with the Jags would go on to last 9 years. ( 1999-2008) In that time he became there all time leading rusher with 11,271 yards Rushing and 2,384
Receiving he also posted a remarkable 45 Rushing TD`s and 5 TD Receptions. He became a top 20 RB in just his second season but a career hurting Groin strain forced him to play just 2 games in his third season. He made a comeback and got a career high reptions and Rushing Yards in his 5th season with 1572 Rushing Yards and 48 Recpetions. He also posted 6 TD`s. He went to Hawii once and that was 2003. The rest of his career was up and down but finished a top 20 RB 7 times. He signed a contract with the Pats in 08 but missed 19 games in two season due to turf toe. He then announced his retirement after signing a contract with the Jags to commerete his career. Thanks for showing us all what you got Fred!!!!
Pierre Thomas Pierre Thomas is a injury prone ahhhhhhh what. Hmmm Something in between Role Player and a star. Thomas hasent always been this way like in 2007- through 2009. In those two years he got 625 yards and 793 yards. He also got 31 and 39 Receptions. Pierre Thomas is truly a 3rd down back who poess all the things nessary to star. In 2010 the saints were Superbowl champs thanks in part by a clutch play by Thomas. He backed up Reggie Bush until he left in 2011. Injuries plagued his 2011 year and he played just 6 games. He now Backs up Mark Ingram.
Landian Tomlison LT is a role player WOW that sentence is hard to say. He went from san diego to NY and never went back to Hawii. LT is a serviceable player and a future HOF canadate. Tomlinsons Rookie year in 2001 he played all 16 games and got a grand Total of 1236 with the Chargers. For the next two years LT had 1600 yards but upped his receptions to 79 and 100 Reptions. He then took a step backward to 1300 yards but landed a at the time career high 17 TD`s. The following year in 2005 he got 1400 yards and 18 remarkable TD`s. He followed that up with a AMAZING 28 TD`s in 2006. He had a carrer high 1815 yards that year and Dominated. MVP was a freqeunte chat in SD but he took a massive step back the next year with only 1417 yards. Rumors began Curculating that he would be moved and after a atroius 2009 season. One reason he had such a bad year was that was because Ryan Mattews was coming up from behind. LT was then moved to NY to replace Shonn Greene . He only tailed 50 Reptions and 6 TD`s. LT is a victim of age not Injury age. Over 10 seasons he missed just 3 games. A borderline HOF at best so far. He has 144 career TD`s.
Joseph Addai He was once a star RB but now he is just serviclible. How? Well He started out strong with back to back 1000 yard seasons to start his career. Up to this poin the had missed one game but he missed 4 in 2008 and in return tallied 544. After a bad year he made a comeback getting 828 yards in 15 games. Afetr this strong Surge he dropped completely off track getting just 495 rushing yards in 8 games. ( Please note these stats DO NOT include receiving yards) The injury he sufferd in 2011 was a thigh injury.
