Perkins Trade

This won the survey the perk trade was the worst movea boston team in the past year. On Febuary 24th the bnoston Celtics did the most surprising trade in recent years. They traded away fan favorite and servable center. Perkins was 26 years old and was coming off a ACL tear in the 2010 NBA finals. Perk was a long time celtic. He was drafted by the Celtics in 2003 when he was just 19 years old. In his first few seasons people labeleds perkins as a defensive player with above average rebounding abiltiys. He was ther starting center in Boston from 05 to 2011. He was imeditly a afn fav. His career high scoring out put came in 2009 when he average 10 points. He was part of the most controversy trade in Celtic history. On Feb. 24th the Celtics traded journey man Nate Robinson ( Also a fan Fav) and Kendrick Perkins away for Jeff Green and Nenad Kristic. Within the hour they traded injured defesive specialist Marquis Daniels for a second RD pick and shipped away Luke Harongody and Semith Erden to Clevland for a second RD pick. This move opened roster room for Sahsa Pavolvic and troy Murphy. Well in the end I thought it was a good trade but would have waited until the off season. Shaq and Jermaine oniel both suffered injuries while Robinson and Perkins both Missed three weeks with knee injuries. Daniels would never play a game for the kings due to a spinal injurie ans it is thought he would return to Boston when the season resumes. Many people thought that Robinson and Perk for Green and Kristic was a bad trade but when Oniel and Oneal went out Perk was still hurt but Kristic was healthy and helped us. Green is labeled as a future all star and Perk never seemed the same after tearing his ACL. I like perk but I think Green is Boss. When pierce retires orgets too old Green should fill in so we have a solid trio in the future ( Davis, Green, Rondo) But the main thing I like in the trade was the first RD pick they got. It is of the clippers who are one of the worst teams in the league. All in all I thought it was a great trade but I think we should have waited until the off season.
