Jay Cutler "To be or not to be"

It would be sad if Cutler’s career is never reaches it’s potential because of the bears .He got sacked a league leading amount ( 52) last year. He also had a bad receiving core and that seems to have carried over. His favorite target Earl Bennett has been hurt and will miss yet another week. His line is so bad that Cutler has happy feet and is willing to admit that. He expecting the hit so he moves quickly and throws on the run. He is very talented and could be a top 10 QB talent wise but his stats don’t show it. He also missed a huge drive in last seasons playoffs with a hurt quad. He missed that Drive (vs. the Packers) after his line allowed him to get injured, He team blew the lead without there leader and The Packers won the Super bowl. I like Cutler and think he is a remarkable talent who could bring a super bowl to any team with a line. Still the Question remains is Cutler “to be or not to be“.

McNabb must Ponder his play.

Donavan McNabb was benched again, this time for Christian Ponder, A rookie. At least last time it was to Rex Grossman ( a proven vet) . He had all the chances, A elite RB Adrian Peterson, a good-Elite WR in Harvin and a chance. But he squandered all opportunities. He now refused to change his techniques and has just 4 touchdown passes in 6 games. Peterson has ran the ball in 3 more times. Ponder has a 53% completion rate while McNabb has a 60%. The McNabb’s Passer rating stands at 82.9 which is below Andy Dalton ( 84.3) Ponders is 74.1 but has just 17 empts. McNabb has 156 attempts. I still don’t justify the move but what really does is that when Vikings coaches encountered McNabb and asked him to start changing his form so he could play better he refused to change, He now must Ponder his style.

At your Beck’em Call.

Rex Grossman was benched after throwing 4 Interceptions in one game!! That means John Beck becomes the Red skins starting QB. He has played in just 6 career games including 1 this year and 5 in 2007 when he was a rookie. He has a career passer rating of 43.4 which is HORRIBLE. Grossman has a passer rating of 72.3 but had a 27.3 rating last game ( 4 INT’s) This move was not great for any side Beck is Horrible and should be benched rather quickly. Grossman is Much better. Neither are a good fantasy starter. Both are droppable in all fantasy leagues.

The Carson Claim

Another Palmer article yes…..He is the starter in Oakland and it now looks like they will let Campbell go and keep Carson, Why. Campbell can throw further with more zip. Campbell is a bomber in the best sense, Low accuracy, long distance, zip. Palmer is a washed up QB in the worst sense, Decaying accuracy, nearly no distance or zip. Palmer is also 2 years older and rusty. He also demands more money and has proven he will holdout at all costs. Not to mind that they had to trade for Carson. Yes I understand that they had lost Campbell but Kyle Boller had a 2500+ yard season in 2004. He also has played a game this year. Unlike Palmer. I think they should have stuck with Boller.

Tebow’s Time

Tim Tebow is finally starting…..Yes. He is the best QB in Denver’s arsenal which is rather deep. Brady Quinn, Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow might all be stuck on the same plateau, But tebows above every one else. ( among Broncos players) Tebow is truly a future Vick but with a suped up personality. He avoided tackles last game ( last play if you saw it) and shows that speed in a QB is still a asset. He is a potential packed player. Here is a neat fact, He is starting his first game in Miami on Gators day, and he helped (carried) to a Bowl game. He could be a great QB one day. Super Sleeper Timmy.
