Today Former Celtic and NBA all star Ricky Davis was waived by his minor league team, the Maine Red Claws,   also Greg Osterag has announced his official final retirement as his knees couldn't stand the pain.  Davis was a cavalier all star the year before LeBron but was traded to make room for LBJ.   Osterag was a starting center in the late days of John Stockton.   Also Deron Williams has revealed his list of destinations, they include LA (laker) and the Magic.   speaking of Magic, there GM, Otis Smith, said that DH12 is throwing PG Jameer Nelson under the bus  because Nelson is struggling (8.9 PPG)  and his team wish list include the Nets (deron Williams) and Clippers (Chris Paul). 

Also Orlando Cabrera a SS announced his retirement.  Carlos Pena signed a contract and The Posada Update.  First off Orlando Cabrera, a 34 year old SS who helped the sox win it all in 04 has announced his retirement.   In David Ortiz's book, Big Papi, David praised Orlando for his talent and his "great presence".  Speaking of the Red Sox Jason Varitek was invited to training camp.  Tek will back up Salti if he makes the roster.    Now on to Pena,  Carlos is a aging power hitting 1st baseman.  not that great but he played well for the rays but left for Chicago after the 2010 season well he is heading back to Tampa.   Pena signed a contract for 1 year with a undisclosed amount of money.  HE will play with Casey Kotchman as a 1st base platoon.    And what you have kind of guessed was coming Jorge Posada said yesterday that he would "talk with his family" about retiring.  If Posada Retires and With Jesus Montero traded, injury prone Russel Martin must stay healthy or the yanks will be searching for a replacement.
