NBA traders

(in Green is Celtic)
Trade 1:  Nene traded  from Denver to Washington Javale Mcgee goes to Denver and Nick Young leaves washington for LAC.  Brian Cook is traded to Washington. Solid pickup for LAC but both Washington and Denver loses significantly.  Nene had resigned so this trade is odd.   The best player was Nene.  Brian Cook is a solid backup PF but shouldn't do much in Washington's mass front court.

Trade 2:  Monta Ellis, Epke Udoh and Kwame Brown for  Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson.  The Bucks get alot for a disgruntled s-jax and a broken (ankle) Bogut.  S-Jax is a solid defensive player with a good offensive game and he hustles.   He has been "off" this year and his fight with Scott Skiels were ridiculous. Meanwhile Ellis goes to a slower defensive team where his value will take a hit but both teams are changing vastly. Udoh is a George fav because he plays great D and is a strong rebounder.

Trade 3: The Spurs trade the contract of retired PG T.J ford and Richard Jefferson to the Warriors for Stephen "S-Jax" Jackson.   This move is really beneficial for both teams because the spurs get a solid role playing starter who can play SF and SG, while the warriors get the necessary expiring contracts to allow them to make a major off season move.  That means that this off season Andrew Bogut, Stephen Curry and some other star could create a big three!   Now going back to the T.J retired thing, he has a spinal issue and there is legit fear for life if he keeps playing.

Trade 4: The Rockets traded potential packed swing big, Jordan Hill, to the Lakers for Derek Fisher and a 1st round pick.  This move is odd because fish is a okay PG in the right situation, which LAL was, and a crabby backup PG in others, such as the Rockets.  Fisher was close with Bryant and this move may have made Kobe more disgruntled but D-Fish will join a contending team as a third stringer.   Kind of like Mike Cameron on the 2010 Red Sox.

Trade 5: The Rockets then traded Johnny Flynn and Hashem Thabeet to Portland in exchange for Marcus Camby.  The Rockets are going all in with a core of Kyle Lowry, Kevin Martin and Luis Scola but it's depth (Dalembert, Goran Dragic, Chandler Parsons, Chase Budingder and Terrence Williams)  The Rockets have a solid team but maybe are a Gilbert Arenas or James Posey away from contending.

Trade 6: The Blazers contuine to breakup a solid core (Camby(trade), Brandon Roy (retire), Greg Oden (waive))  with the trade of Gerald Wallace to New Jersey Nets in exchange for Memhemt Okur, Shawne Williams and a first round pick, which is protected.   This trade makes sense because Wallace was being edged out by Nicholas Batum and Wallace, Deron Williams and Brook Lopez can now become a legit big three. In a side note i really hope that Oden becomes a celtic.

Trade 7: Sam Young traded from Memphis to Philadelphia for a 2005 NBA draft pick who hasn't left Europe.   Sam young is a solid pick up for the strong 76ers and with Iggy, Turner, Brand, Holiday, Williams, Hawes, Vucevic and Young all there young will add to a future contender.   The Grizzles are falling apart slowly thanks to Z-Bo's season ending injury.  Though earlier this year Spieghts was traded to Memphis from philly for almost nothing.  I guess the two kind of balance out.

Trade 8: The Lakers trade a first round pick of some sort, Luke Walton and scrup Jason Kapono (good defender) to the Cavs for Ramon Sessions.  This trade has been obvious for a while and shouldn't come as a surprise.   Sessions will start over steve Blake and Kapono has already been waived.  Meanwhile the cavs get a legit role player at SF.  Walton never really lived up to his potential but a three way platoon at SF is highly possible.

Other Moves: Celtics center Chris Wilcox is forced to end his season after developing a aorta near his heart.   Wilcox was outplaying Jermaine Oniel, Greg Stiemsa and anything else the celtics have tryed at center. Also note that Jermaine Oniel said that he "wants to play for the heat" .  I would not be surprised if Chris Wilcox comes back to Boston next season.  Jeff Green Will be a F/A at the end of the season and the only available nba players are Eddie House, James Posey, Michael Sweeney Gilbert Arenas, Allen Iverson or maybe ReSheed Wallace . Former Spur, Pacer and Raptor, T.J Ford has retired due to spinal issues.  The Blazers waived Greg Oden due to injuries. The Bulls signed Mike James from the NBA D-League after he began his comeback. Also the cavs waived Jason Kapono.  The Spurs also signed Patrick Mills to replace T.J Ford as a backup PG. And Baron Davis is nearing a return from a hamstring and back injury.   Davis will likely backup Jeremy Lin in the Dantoni free Knicks.   P.S Mike Danotoni has resigned as head coach of the NY knicks because of Carmelo Anthony, Amare and Tyson Chandlers attitudes.  The Bobcats are expected to buyout and waive versatile foward Boris Diaw.
