The New NFL

Today the game is dominated by pass first teams with solid must cover backs and no defense.  however even these teams can't match the all around excellence of the Eagles and Cardinals.   Chris Johnson, Peyton Hillis, Jammal Charles, Darren McFadden, Frank Gore, Steven Jackson and Michael Tuner all had 1000 yard seasons in recent memory but all are struggling.  Even more recent minor sparks named Brandon Jacobs, Ahamed Bradshaw and ReShard mendenhall have began their decline. Is the RB era over.  Maybe, honestly i don't know but the dominating days of LT, Arian Foster, Curtis Porter, Terrelle Davis, Chris Johnson and Maurice Jones Drew may be over.   Yes players age but never before have we seen the mass decline of so many good RB.  Is this like Baseballs loss of power hitters do to steroid abolishment or is it just timing?   This comes the same season Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski (the top Tight Ends) are playing next to equal to fellow Tight Ends Brett Myers, Heath Miller, Dennis pitta and Veron Davis.
The once Dominating defensive teams the patriots and the packers both have made it to the Superbowl with horrid defenses and undeniably great offenses.   The Cowboys and their decent offense haven't made the postseason in two years even with the top rated pass defense.  The Giants last years Superbowl champs, even have a poor defense this year.  The Ravens, Falcons, Eagles, Lions and Cardinals may be the best rounded teams and could make a deep playoff run. So i ask readers of this article to type their own article explaining why the sudden drop in production from so many top backs.  The best will be published Soon.  Email me at thegeorgetalk@gmail.com
