This superbowl is a defensive battle as much as it's a battle of attrition. The Ravens defensive is elite but old and their age shows. If they play over 45 plays they begin to break down. The 49ers are younger and still an elite D but they have age and injury issues. For the Ravens Joe Flacco, an average peaking QB, must have a great game. He's not known as explosive while Kapernick of the 9ers is so the Ravens cant fall behind. There defense will break down and by the 4th they are an average D. Ngata, Lewis, Suggs, Kruger and reed are all probowlers but they are over 29 and on the decline. Patrick Willis, Carlos Rodger, Justin Smith, Navarro Bowman all are over 27 as well. Smith even said he will have off season surgery and says that he has thunk about retirement. These teams are old but neither side has an old offense i think which ever coach plays the clock better and gets the defense to play less will win. The 9ers though could make a comeback if behind because Kapernick is so explosive, i doubt that Flacco could do that. This superbowl will be a war of attrition.

Why The Superbowl wont be as close as the score says. It'll be close for a quarter then the 9ers will get ahead and never turn back. I think that it ll be 14-0 in the first half and the ravens will just start getting hot but it wont be a missed opportunity that ll cost em, it'll be a failed defensive trip when the scores, 14-7.
