Despite being one of the most talented wide receivers in the game, Larry Fitzgerald was beyond frustrated in 2012. Arizona started out promising enough with a 4-0 start, but they would win just one other game thanks in large part to some shaky quarterback play. For Arizona fans and those playing daily fantasy sports, can the talented wide receiver from Pittsburgh get back on track with new quarterback Carson Palmer?

Palmer spent his prime seasons in Cincinnati, but his somewhat messy departure from the Queen City left things a bit sour. He considered retirement for a bit, but ultimately landed in Oakland for two seasons. Still just 33, the former #1 overall pick was traded to Arizona to finally give them some stability. Is he their long-term solution? Probably not. However, what he can do is get the ball to the team’s best playmakers.

Fitzgerald is as talented as they come, but no daily fantasy sports player is going to be able to trust him if he has no one to throw the ball to. Last season was arguably his worst ever, as he was held to just 798 yards and four touchdowns. At just 30 years old, he is getting towards the end of his prime, but he should still have a few years left at the top of his game.

Health will play a major role, but Fitzgerald has done a great job staying healthy throughout the years. He has missed just two games in the last six seasons, while Palmer has been relatively healthy since playing just four games in 2008.

Arizona has a solid defense, and they are really not that far off from a playoff spot despite a 5-11 record in 2012. With a new head coach and quarterback in place, the Cardinals could become a sleeper. More importantly, Fitzgerald could get back to being one of the best at his position.
