Breaking Bad: The suspension Issue

For anyone out there that watches the hit TV-Show breaking bad you know that it focus's on drugs and since this is both Breaking news and focusing primarily on drug related suspensions i figure it makes for a solid title.  So below I have listed the majority of the NFL's suspensions. In order by Length.   Also please check out thegeorgetalk's webpage to vote in our poll!

Josh Gordon, WR, Browns: 1 year (plus DWI hearing in November)

Josh Gordon is dominating on the field but that's the problem.   After this season he will have missed 20 of the possible 48 games due to suspension. It's not like Gordon does Cocaine, Meth or Heroine, Gordon does pot but despite numerous warnings and suspensions (plus multiple failed college drug tests) the stud receiver can't stop.  I guess pot can be addictive.   Gordon's time in the NFL is holding on by a limb even though he is just 23.

Daryl Washington, LB, Cardinals: 1 Year

The Cardinals are one of the best defensive team but in Free Agency the team lost Karlos Dansby.   Then roughly a week later they lost Young star Daryl Washington.  Washington was suspended for a convoluted matter involving an aggravated Assault case and a violation of the League very tight Substance abuse policy (by very tight I mean it's by far the tightest of any professional sports).   Regardless the cardinals defense might struggle this year without Star LB Daryl Washington.

Lavon Brazill, WR, FA: 1 year

Out of this entire list if anybody's career is over it's the 25 year old WR Lavon Brazill.  After Reggie Wayne, Dwayne Allen and Ahamed Bradshaw went down last year the colts became desperate.  Many people thought that Brazill would step up, how wrong analyst can be.  Brazill struggle with drops and routes and ultimately was replaced by Deion Branch (LOL).  After receiving the drug related suspension he was waived by the colts.

Justin Blackmon, WR, Jaguars: 8 games plus reinstatement

Josh Gordon before Josh Gordon.  In 2012 Blackmon was a decent rookie but flashed star potential when Chad Henne Replaced Blaine Gabbert.  However drug issues earned him a nice 4 game suspension limited the start of his second season.  He looked good averaging over 100 YPG but then he was suspended again this time for a calender year.  In week 9 he can technically apply for reinstatement but likely wont see the field again until 2015.   Blackmon's career isnt over but another strike and he is out.

Robert Mathis, DE, Colts: 4 Games
Mathis is the next Dwight Freeney but despite a great season he violated the League policy and will miss 4 games

Stedman Bailey, WR, Rams: 4 Games
Honestly this was much bigger when the Rams had Bradford and the receivers truly mattered, best case scenario you're looking at 3400 total receiving yards.   As for Bailey he is super talented and will likely be the third WR come week 6.

Orlando Scandrick, CB, Cowboys:  4 Games
What never heard of him? Well you should.  Scandrick was a starting corner last year and truly earned his payday.  He beat out former first round pick Morris Claiborne as the cowboys number 2 corner.   However Scandrick is best known for his use of Molly or ecstasy.

Matt Prater, K, Broncos:4 Games
The top kicker in the game is out the first four game but you gotta wonder how did he violate the Leagues substance abuse policy, he is in Denver?  (seriously though Denver's early bye week makes him a intriguing fantasy pick)

Brandon Browner, CB, Patriots: 4 games
Browner still has a total of 4 games left on his 8 game suspension from last year.  Bad for the Pats, good for the AFC East?

Other Suspensions:
4 games- Ace Sanders
3 Games- Jermone Simpson
2 Games- Brandon Meriwhether
2 Games- Ray Rice
1 Game- Dwayne Bowe

Future Suspension:
Largarette Blount
LeVeon Bell
