Dallas, Mavericks

The NBA Champs, Dallas,  Well they are off to a great off season, sort off.  They just lost J.J Barea for 4 years (Timberwolves), but acted so quickley, since then they have jumped into Free agency picking up Al fav, Delonte West and aging scorer Vince Carter.  Carter is 34, plays the 2 and 3 and is a scorer not a defender.  Carter spent last season between The suns and Magic but his story career dates back to 1998 as a starting 1st rd pick.  Note that He was selected over stars Paul pierce and Dirk.  Carter averaged 18.3 points in his rookie season but Toronto failed to bring victories and playoff hopes so he joined NJ.  He played along Jason Kidd and lead the Nets to the NBA finals.  Then in two blockbuster deals Kidd and carter left NJ.  Kidd went to Dallas for Devin Harris, a promising youngster.  As a member of the 2009 Magic he lead them to the conference finals but then went home.  He was traded to Phoinex for a few good players and is a solid scorer.  West is a great backup.  I like him Al likes him , Doc likes him but his off court issues and inujury history are used against him.  He averaged 4.6 points but in the playoffs he was he celtics only real PG (Rondo was struggling and hurt).   The Mavs have fixed there center problem with Odom (any pos) and reconstructed their backcourt.   Meanwhile PG Chauncey Billups was claimed off waivers by the clippers and might not attend training camp.  Giving the clippers a furious five or six.  Griffen, Gordon, Butler, Jordan, Mo and Billups are all good and George favs.
