QB offseason

this off season has been a mega off season for so many QB's.  here's the news:

Flacco signed a long term deal with the ravens.  He officially signs it on Monday and they haven't disclosed.  This means the likely hood that WR's Boldin and Jones (jacoby) wont be cut.  Both were rumored to be on the block and Boldin would've rather retired.  Ill post the details when there available.

Next up the 49ers whom have 2 QB's, Smith and Keaprnick, have traded Smith to the Chiefs who now will trade Cassel.  Smith is a former 1st ovr. pick but hasn't been a star.  He could be a bust like cassel but i really dont know.  The Cardinals are deeply linked to him..  The exact smith deal was a second and third RD. pick for the 30 yr. old QB.  Quinn will most likely back him up.

Heres two rumors: the pats may trade backup prospect Ryan Mallet to the browns for a second or 3rd rd. pick. This rumor started because Lombardi, the team president is high on Mallet and he is equal to Weeden and McCoy.  Personally Weeden was overrated but I would like to see Orton or Cassel go to Cleveland.  The other rumor is that David Garrad will sign with the Jets to compete with Mark Sanchez.  This is very likely to occur.  If Holmes stays in NYJ the Jets aging duo will be horrible.  Thats goin to be fun.

Next up is the Tom Brady signing.  Tom Brady signed for a super cap and team friendly deal.  Here ill break it down.  He's old contract was 21 million a year 1 YR remaining.  Now he signed a 3 year 27 million dollar contract.  This means roughly 2 5ths of his former annual salary.  The pats also are rumored to get more salary by releasing Brandon Lloyd, whom is rumored to have issues with either other players or coaches.  Lloyd will be on his fourth team in 3 years next season if its true.  Personally his 4 million dollar team option is a team friendly deal but you never know.

Here's one final QB piece: the Jags are heavily linked to Tim Tebow.  This deal is pretty much a slam dunk.  I don't expect much maybe 4th RD pick for him.   He will fit in well with the MJD style.  It'll be like the 2011 Broncos who ran 40+ times a game.  So it ll be fun and exciting but not very good.  Its tebow time!

Now 2 pieces of none QB info

REVIS
is highly likely to be traded soon most likely for picks.  The 49ers and there 15 picks have been linked so I'd expect them or another weak secondary to trade for him.  There is alot of risk in a high paid injury prone ACL injured player so it'll be long and drawn out much like the DDH12 saga in Orlando. He is a good pick up for any team.

THE FALCONS
The Falcons, a contending team, released three vets.  Mostly for contract reasons but John Abraham, Dunta Robinson and Michael turner.  The three all were starters and join the already released Williams Gay as the top F/A out there (not including the standard F/A's)  I also wanna say that Miles Austin wont be released by the cowboys after restructuring his deal.  I really liked Abraham and I think the ravens did this move to make a chance at Stevan Jackson.  If they make a run they could be screwed and come up short.  Good luck.
