this year has been amazing, So far Mike trout, Ryan Braun, Miguel Cabrera and Josh Hamilton all have had lack luster starts to the year, mostly likely a fluke but some guys have had monster season.... and monster start disappointments.
#1 Chris Davis-1B-Orioles
Ohh yeah, this makes me look awesome drafted him in 12th rd. got made fun of, yeah he has a ops. over 2.000 Also he leads baseball in RBI's, has 4 HRs and an average over .400 . What else can i say, he is romping on the competition.
#2 Clayton Kershaw-SP-Dodgers
He is dominating. In two starts he hasn't give up a single run. He is ON fire. I knew he was the boss going into the year but this is just crazy. Outside of Verlander and Strassburg he makes other pitchers look like prospects.
#3 Justin Upton-OF-Braves
He leads the Majors in HR and is pretty much showing Atlanta fans he was worth Prado. He could fight for MVP this season, He is on a great team and is having a great year.
#4 Todd Fraizer-3B- Reds
He is a utility player turned stud. He is in the top ten in RBI's, HRs and has a great average. Frazier qualifies at third, 1st and OF and outside of Prado and Zorbist he is the most versitale fantasy player.
#5 Michael Morse-1B-Mariners
Washington's slugger, turner the star of a horrible Mariners team. He has 5 HRs and is dominating. Since they moved the fences in Seattle, I see him as viable 3rd OF or 2nd 1B for the year but a hot start doesn't really impress me.
#6 Stephen Strassburg-SP- Nats
He had an impressive first game and since theres no inning cap he is a true super star. In any league play him. He is BOSS. simple and sweet...
#7 Will Middlebrooks-3B- Redsox
Last years youk replacement hit 3 HRs today (sunday) and 4 total. Middlebrooks has emerged as a solid 3B and utility player.
#8 Bryce Harper-OF-Nats
The young 30/30 OF, had two homers in this seasons opener. He might not be as good as trout but he might be quite good!
#9 Albert Pujois-1B-Angels
A former perennial #1 fantasy player has toned it down a bit but he is at #9 after a duel HR day!
#10 J.P Arencibia-C-Blue Jays
He is bossing, 4 HR's really early. Its unlikely he can keep it up but if he does he is a must start C. Trust me thats rare, only Joe Mauer, Brian McCann, Victor Martinez and Ivan Rodriguez have reached that mark in the last 10 years
And the disappointments-
Brandon Belt- 8 HR spring= 0 hits (5 games)
Julio Tehran- Excellent Spring= debut meltdown
Josh Hamilton- mega contract= Injury Day 2
John Lackey-Shoulder healed= Bicep injury
Kendray Morales-New team= Struggling
Matt Cain- Good first start= Blow up 2nd start
Josh Johnson-Trade= Not so good
R.A Dickey-Cy Young= ERA over 5!
